What is the situation with the digital media use of children and young people? What are their interests? phone number libraryAnd those of their parents? Jimmy’s and Newcom recently conducted research into this. I will share some results with you, which may sometimes surprise you (or not at all).
The research was conducted in 8 European countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden), with more than 7,000 children and parents interviewed.
It gives a nice insight into the media usage within the Netherlands and Belgium. Intensive use of digital media starts at an early age

Parents/adults mainly send messages from their phones, listen to music again and like to watch videos. In every age category, ‘sharing videos’ and ‘(video) calling’ are at the bottom. As for calling, that doesn’t surprise me, since more and more young people (and young parents of today) suffer from interest .
